The wedding ceremony of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan is one of the most-hyped and much-awaited Bollywood events. Here is a good news for the people, who are waiting to see Saifeena’s marriage bliss. They are getting married in the first week of April soon after the release of their film Agent Vinod.

It was reported earlier that Agent Vinod was scheduled to release in February 2011 and Kareena Kapoor had confirmed to tie the knot with Saif Ali Khan after its release. But sources now claim that Agent Vinod is releasing on March 23 and the Bollywood couple is getting hitched in the first week of April.

However, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who recently completed the shooting for the film Agent Vinod, have left for their holidays. Since Agent Vinod is Saif Ali Khan’s first production venture, the couple have lot of expectation from it. They will start the promotional works of the film after returning from holidays.

Soon after the release of Agent Vinod on March 23, they will head to tie the knot in the first week of April and then Saif-Kareena will go for their honeymoon also. Sources further claim that Kareena does not want to delay her marriage anymore. So, she has already started planning for the big day of her life.

It was an evening of discussions as cricketing legends like Kapil Dev, Ian Chappell and Mike Brearley arrived for the latest edition of the Raj Singh Dungarpur summit. Saif Ali Khan and mom Sharmila Tagore marked their presence on behalf of the late Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. Chappell delivered a welcome address and turned it into a tribute to Pataudi. Mike Brearley delivered the main lecture while Sanjay Manjrekar and Ajay Jadeja participated in the panel discussion. Kapil on his part announced the formation of a Raj Singh Dungarpur
foundation.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, who has been annointed the 10th Nawab of Pataudi, says he’s honoured and hopes to carry his late father Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi’s legacy forward in a responsible manner.
“I’m overwhelmed with the kindness and simplicity the village heads have shown me and my family and the respect to my late father. This is a huge responsibility for me to take my father’s legacy forward in whatever way I can,” Saif said in a statement.
“This is a deeply personal part of my life. Princely titles no longer exist, but family values and tradition do…I shall be conscious of this always and do the best I can for Pataudi,” he added.
Saif was Monday anointed the 10th Nawab of Pataudi at a ceremony at the family’s Ibrahim Palace in Pataudi. Heads of various villages of the area tied a white turban (pagri) around his head to annoint him the new nawab. His mother Sharmila Tagore and sisters Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan were also present.
The 41-year-old’s father, popularly known as Tiger Pataudi, passed away Sep 22 in New Delhi’s Sir Gangaram Hospital after battling a severe lung infection.

Saba Ali Khan, Tiger Pataudi’s daughter, said on a recent visit to Bhopal that a formal pagdi ceremony for Saif Ali Khan will take place in Pataudi soon. “After the 40 days of mourning for Abba, this ceremony will take place. I will also participate in the ceremony,” said Saba.

The pagdi ceremony is symbolic of inheriting the title of Nawab of Pataudi. For this ceremony, representatives of all the 52 villages under Pataudi province bring a 9 metre-long pagdi for the Nawab. Recalling Tiger’s pagdi ceremony, Anwar Khan of Bhopal said, “After tying three pagdis, each 9m long, Nawab sahab folded his hands and suggested that a coin, instead of pagdis, will do. He took the remaining pagdis in his hand, as a gesture of acceptance of people’s respect.”

Then: Saif entered the industry in the 90s with a lot of hype. After all, he was Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore’s son. But despite being signed by good banners, his early movies were disappointing. His styling was weak, his voice was unimpressive and he couldn’t dance. He was careless about his appearance and seemed to be insincere towards work.

Now: Saif’s fortunes changed with Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai (DCH). Saif had a makeover – a new hairstyle, a leaner and fitter body and, overall, a cool new look. DCH was followed by films like Ek Hasina Thi, Kal Ho Na Ho and Hum Tum which reiterated his ‘urban cool’ appeal. He started taking care of his looks and health. A few years ago, when he was admitted to hospital because of chest pain, he even gave up smoking. Now, he gyms and practises yoga regularly. “I’d like to believe I am looking good and I am not being vain. For what it’s worth, I wasn’t born with a face that has ‘hero’ written all over it. At times, people have even called me a ‘funny-looking guy’. It’s taken a lot of effort to look like the typical hero; a man the youth can identify with,” he says.
