According to a survey, actor Saif Ali Khan is the king when it comes to appearance of the ads on TV. The survey shows that Saif’s ads appeared for about 45 lakh of seconds on TV in 2007 closely followed by SRK whose ads did for about 42 lakh of seconds. The list also contains big names like Big B on 3rd and Hrithik Roshan on 4th and many more. But only two cricketers could make it in the list including M.S. Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.

Satish Kaushik who successfully remade Bala’s ‘Sethu’, as ‘Tere Naam’ starring the B-town hot favourite Salman Khan, now is ready to remake another Tamil blockbuster.

The filmmaker has taken the copyrights of the movie ‘Pithamagan’ which was also directed by Bala. This Vikram and Surya starrer Tamil flick was a big hit down south and Kaushik is very excited about taking the copyrights for the same.

Says Satish, “I had seen Pithamagan at the big screen in 2003. I was moved by the story and especially the character played by Vikram. Ever since then I have wanted to remake it and now I finally can!”

Bollywood heavyweight producers Boney and Vashu along with Sanjay Dutt where also keen for the remake but Satish grabbed the deal beating all.

‘Pithamagan’ has been a hot property for Bollywood since its release because of the strong storyline. Vikram had won a National Award for this movie and Surya became a blockbuster star after this movie.

If sources are to be believed, Kaushik wants to either cast actor Saif Ali Khan or Hrithik Roshan for the character Vikram played in the Tamil version.

After reigning stars Hrithik Roshan (Krish) and Shah Rukh Khan (Ra.One), it is the turn of Saif Ali Khan to essay a superhero in the multilingual film Prince Vaali.

Telugu producer-director Vishnu Tanay, who is planning to make the film in five languages including Telugu and Hindi, has reportedly met the B-town star a couple of times and narrated the script to him.

“We had a few meetings but nothing is finalised yet,” says a source in the production house.

The star was impressed by the homework done by the team, which included a one crore jacket for the get-up and hiring Hollywood technicians who have worked for Terminator for designing the action sequences.
